who invented the wood lathe?

Lathes have been around for a very long time ..
Historical evidence of lathes being used to turn wood & stone in ancient cultures
Man powered lathes w/ cranks ropes & flywheels are known to be used througout ancient history all over the world.
Couple of thousand years at least,
Exact date & by whom….?
Tried searching ancient technology?
